Visitor Information

What should I expect when I visit?

What time should I come? We have two identical worship services at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. We have a coffee and fellowship time following the first service.

What is the style of Worship at Stuts? Our services are blended with a stronger contemporary style and informal atmosphere.

Where should I park? Parking is convenient to the church with a main paved lot and a gravel overflow lot and is not usually a problem unless there is a special event.

What should I wear? Most people dress casually. It is not uncommon to see people wearing jeans or shorts in the summer. People wear what they feel most comfortable in.

Where should I go when I arrive? If you enter through the main covered entrance you will be welcomed by our greeters at the door. A Welcome and Information Center is located in the Front Foyer. There is someone at the Welcome Center who can assist you with signing your child in for Sunday School. Children attend the beginning of the Worship Service and are dismissed by the music team for Sunday School through the front left of the sanctuary. The main sanctuary is located through the foyer.

What is available for my children? We have a "cry room" for infants located off the foyer with a window to the sanctuary and a speaker that will enable you to attend to your baby and still see and hear the service. We have a staffed nursery for children ages 1-3 located next to the church office in the Fellowship Hall during both services. The age range for the nursery is flexible depending on the child and parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with their child. We have a television with audio and video feed of the service in the Nursery. For children in pre-school through 6th grade we have age grouped Sunday School classes in our Fellowship Hall during the 9:30AM service. For Middle and High School Students we have Sunday School during the 9:30AM service in "The Great Escape," which is our Youth Building (the white building located on the NE corner of the parking lot). Adult Sunday School classes are also offered during the 9:30AM service in the basement of the main church building.

What should I do during the offering, am I expected to give? The offering is for those who are part of the Stuts family. As a guest, we don't expect you to contribute. Please pass the offering and let us have a chance to give to you on Sunday.

First Time Family

What does Stuts have for my family?

Stutsmanville Chapel has a variety of ministries for children, youth, and adults. Feel free to browse the Ministries section of our website for more detailed information. You can also check the Calendar for upcoming events.

A sampling of our programs include the following:

  • Children: We offer AWANA Clubs during the school year and Vacation Bible School during the summer.
  • Youth: We have a full time youth director who works with our Middle School and High School Students to coordinate and lead weekly youth group meetings, as well as other service oriented and "fun" activities within the church and throughout the community.
  • Adults: We offer small group studies or "Life Groups" that meet weekly in homes around the area as well as a Men's Support Group that meets twice a week at the church.

There are many opportunities for fellowship and for service within Stutsmanville Chapel and throughout the community. We have many special events throughout the year including

  • Our annual Fish Fry in May and Burger Bash in June
  • Our "Journey to Bethlehem" program in December, is a seven scene Christmas pageant and has been our Christmas gift to the community for over 20 years
  • We also offer a co-ed softball league and Men's golf fellowship in the Spring and Summer
